Wonderful tribute Matt !
I was with Matt when he took the giant greeting card in to show Shel. I held it close so Shel could see it, pointing out various artists names. Tears trickled down Shel’s cheeks, and mine too.
Matt spent most of the 2009 Comic-Con taking this card around the room . Drawings and greetings include: Matt Lorentz, Phil Yeh, Jim Whiting, Karyl Miller, Wardell Brown, Chad Frye, Dave and Doreen Dotson, Dean LeCrone, Rick and Deborah Geary, Rod Mojica, Robert Beerbohm, Greg Evans, Dave Scroggy, George Gladir, Werner and Nikolas Olsen, Rob Word, Phil Ortiz, Mark Richmond, Joanne Stephens, J Wing, Dave Garcia and Monica Sharp, M.S.Peters, Jennifer Daydream, and Charlie and Joan Roberts.
Matt is a truly gifted artist and one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. My wife Joan and I are proud to call him Friend, and our Yellow Lab Hobie the 4th is quite fond of Matt too (!)
