Good Fun in the 70’s

December 1, 2009

David Scroggy, who sent it in, writes about the image that appears below:

“It was [in] the 1979 Comic-Con Program Book. It was edited by Jim Valentino and George Olshevsky. That year, the Program Book was in the format of a tabloid newspaper.

“I don’t know when Shel sent it to me, exactly, but probably about three years ago. Shel and I kept in touch in later years, until he was hospitalized. I would send him Dark Horse items if I thought he would like them, and he would send notes like this.”

Shel’s note to David reads: “It’s wonderful how much good fun we all had in the 70’s! The work put into these drawings reflects the spirit!”
